But let's just say if they do have the same amount of genes they can form a new dragon and they don't know what it is capable of like imagine if they is a new hybrid that is a deadly nader × night fury. I can see why you think toothless and stormfly make a good match but it's genetically impossible for them to be together because they are different species of dragon not only that they have different DNA that calls for a different number of chromosomes( this means that one of them not have a different number of chromosomes so if they want an egg it won't work because the genes are different so it will match them all up but in the end ther will be some left over or to less chromosomes to make a dragon or if there to many they could be missing some genes ( and if they are missing some genes they could be missing the gene that calls for a head ) so they can't make a dragon. I think that toothless and the light fury would be a good match for each other because they are subspecies( and that technical means they are the same ) so they will make a good match.
